Biria St. John and Simon Butler serve as Vice Chairs and Co-Leads of CBRE’s New England Multifamily Investment Sales team in Boston. In 2022, the team closed 36 transactions at a total sales volume of $2.37 billion.
The most significant transaction in the past year was the sale of the 1,020-unit Halstead Framingham, located in Framingham, MA. The transaction represented the largest single-asset suburban Boston sale of any product type in history. St. John and Butler represented the seller (an affiliate of the DSF Group) and procured the buyer (a joint venture between Taurus Investment Holdings and Kayne Anderson Real Estate).
The new owners have rebranded the property and are planning capital expenditures to improve its sustainability.
