Theodora Teddy Leatherman
Involved with more than $6.7 billion in real estate financing and asset sales in her 10-year career
Spearheaded JLL's first all-woman Global Student Housing Seminar
Theodora “Teddy” Leatherman is Senior Director with JLL’s Dallas office. She leads the Dallas Student Housing Capital Markets team of six specialists, focusing on investment sales and equity placement for student housing properties throughout the U.S. During her 10-year experience in commercial real estate finance and property sales and, during her career, Leatherman has been involved in more than $6.7 billion of real estate financing and asset sales on behalf of major corporate, institutional and private owners. During 2021, Leatherman executed $1.3 billion in student housing transactions.
Leatherman spearheaded the very first all-women Global Student Housing Webinar for JLL in May 2022. She sits on the JLL Dallas office Candidate Screening Committee (CSC), where she focuses on hiring, retaining and training the Dallas analyst pool. She is also part of JLL’s Capital Markets Diversity and Inclusion Board. Her favorite parts of her job are an ability to mentor.
A graduate from The Real Estate Council (TREC) Associate Leadership Council (ALC) in 2021, Leatherman helped her class fund and rebuild a community kitchen in South Dallas. She also served as the organization’s Young Guns Chair, Young Guns Vice Chair Casino Night Chair.
