In her nearly four decades in the lodging industry, Michelle Hayes has worked in virtually every facet of hotel operations. She joined the Plasencia Group in Dallas as Senior Vice President-Asset Management after a career with FelCor Lodging Trust. As Vice President of Asset Management at FelCor, Hayes was responsible for overseeing a portion of the company’s portfolio of Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hilton, Marriott and Sheraton hotels, as well as independent hotels.

She also held an executive position with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where she managed numerous Sheraton-branded hotels. During that time, she received Sheraton’s President’s Award and Employee Satisfaction Award, which honored her outstanding leadership. In addition, Hayes was a member of Sheraton Corporation’s Chairman’s Club and Marketing Board of Directors.

In addition to undergraduate and graduate degrees, Hayes is a designated Certified Hotel Administrator and has completed the Cornell Business School Certification for Real Estate and Asset Management.
