Kelley Klobetanz

Company:

Greystone

She reviewed and underwritten roughly $4 billion in construction and affordable loans as a chief underwriter for Greystone

Today, Klobetanz has closed close to $100 million in her first full year of origination

At the core of her leadership style is her belief in supporting others

Kelley Klobetanz became one of the youngest women to rise to the top of the CRE credit world as a chief underwriter. Today, she is a managing director at Greystone, responsible for structuring debt and equity transactions for commercial real estate throughout the United States. Transactions include new construction, substantial rehabilitation, refinance or acquisition of multifamily apartments and age-restricted housing, as well as healthcare facilities.

Her experience gives her unique insight into successfully navigating the underwriting process for clients and her numbers speak for themselves. After rising to the top of her game on the credit side of the business, Klobetanz switched gears to origination and has already has a robust pipeline as she builds relationships based on trust, transparency and her expertise in real estate debt.

Klobetanz is on the board for the Western Mortgagee Advisory Council and has spoken at several Mortgage Bankers Association conferences including MBA CREF and local Bisnow events. She has also completed the MBA’s Future Leaders Program, the Leadership Training from Women’s Unlimited and she is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI).

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Klobetanz as one of the National 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
