Erin Majors
VP of asset management – Mid Atlantic
Takes a hands-on approach to real estate
An informal and formal mentor to young aspiring real estate professionals
At Phillips Edison, Erin Majors’ current role as VP of asset management – Mid Atlantic allows her to utilize her knowledge of real estate and experience as a dealmaker to lead her team and produce positive results for the region year after year. Majors has the ability to see both sides of a situation and determine how both parties can walk away with a win, colleagues say. She has an ability to cast goals and vision for herself and her team to achieve success while holding everyone accountable for what they tell her they will achieve.
Based in Cincinnati, Majors takes a hands-on approach to real estate. Colleagues say it’s not uncommon to hear her negotiate critical lease deal points, assist to settle a tenant dispute, engage in a conversation regarding ESG or see her at a property climbing a ladder to walk a roof. Erin continues to be an informal and formal mentor to young aspiring real estate professionals with her involvement in programs such as PECO NOW (Phillips Edison’s Networking Opportunity for Women). She is also engaged with the team that is crafting the work-from-home strategy post-COVID. Her open-door policy and approachable demeanor provide a setting for an uncomfortable conversation or mentoring opportunity.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose Majors as one of the Chicago & Midwest 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
Majors’ ability to successfully balance a high-stress role and family life is impressive. She is active with her three daughters and coaches them in sports. In addition, she is a role model for her extended family.
