Marissa Whiteside is the Vice President – Deputy Chief Underwriter at Berkadia. In this role, she encourages, supports, and motivates a staff of nine within the Freddie Mac Conventional platform and assists staff with compliance and/or credit concerns and coordinates with clients both internal and external for creative solutions. Further, she is involved with audit functions pertaining to credit and third-party compliance.

Whiteside has received recognition for supporting the underwriting and closing of several large portfolio transactions. She has also established and maintained several new frameworks/processes for compliance and/or credit policies. Further, she participates in and offers business/product insights for various technology initiatives to improve underwriting efficiency.

She serves on two HOA boards and is active in her child’s public school district. A first-generation college student, Whiteside has been underwriting commercial real estate for 18 years.
