Seamless recent transition from Washington DC to Chicago

Works with and pursues government contracts

John Daniels is Newmark’s Director, Capital Markets and Loan Sales. His recent transition from Washington, DC to Chicago was seamless, as he integrated his team’s practice with that of the Midwest Capital Markets team. His ability to connect the dots between clients of his team and the local Chicago and Midwest teams has been insightful and beneficial to the platform.

Daniels and his team have always hedged their business between the private and public sector. Pursuing, winning and maintaining government contracts is not something many brokers are willing to do; it requires a different set of skills and client service than what is used in the private sector.

But this experience has allowed Daniels and his team to execute when the government controls the loan sale and valuation space – which typically occurs at the start of a market correction. These contracts only become available every three to five years, maybe longer. But the team’s foresight puts it in a strong position to  continue servicing government-related opportunities within the space

Daniels leads by example. Nothing is beneath him, as he will do whatever it takes to serve the client and deliver the best product to market. He treats everyone with the same level of respect and that is clear based on the way that he is viewed within and outside of the Newmark organization.
