Lisa Hamilton Oversees Portfolio Totaling Millions of Square Feet
Lisa Hamilton, associate principal at Northstar Project & Real Estate Services, leads complex assignments for corporate and institutional clients, while also overseeing Northstar’s marketing function and contributing to the firm’s business strategy and succession planning.
Hamilton’s portfolio includes Clarion Partners’ repositioning of a 305,000-square-foot Cambridge office/lab campus; BioMed Realty’s 500,000-square-foot Assembly Innovation Park in Somerville; and a three-million-square-foot, 16-building real estate program for Takeda Pharmaceutical.
At Assembly Innovation Park, she led the development of a LEED Platinum lab/office building, a parking garage, private roads, a public park and space for a Somerville fire station.
Her project experience also includes two classified government facilities: a 3,000-square-foot DOJ SCIF and a 5,000-square-foot DOD-controlled facility, both completed on time and under budget.
Hamilton joined Northstar in 2011 when the company had eight employees. She has advanced through every level to associate principal and shareholder. She helped establish the firm’s “Northstar Way,” develop its performance-review framework, and build mentoring and professional development programs.
Outside Northstar, Hamilton co-owns a family real estate company managing 18 rental units north of Boston. She serves on the board of Ocean Breeze School, supports Lynn Classical High School athletics and is active in CREW Boston and CoreNet Global. She was featured in New England Real Estate Journal‘s Woman in Commercial Real Estate in 2022.
These are just a few reasons Lisa Hamilton is among the Boston & New England Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
