Ariel Property Advisors’ team consists of Shimon Shkury, President and Founder; Victor Sozio, Founding Partner; Michael A. Tortorici, Founding Partner; and Sean R. Kelly, Esq., Partner. Shkury and Sozio oversee the firm’s Affordable Housing practice.
Over the past 14 years, the company brokered or placed under contract 375 affordable housing buildings comprising nearly 20,000 units. This translates to 20 million square feet of real estate and a total transaction volume exceeding $3.65 billion.
During 2025, Sozio and Shkury handled the $88-million sale of Ocean Park, a 607-unit affordable housing complex at 125 Beach 17th in Far Rockaway, Queens. The team also arranged the $55.6-million sale of the Harlem River Point Portfolio, an affordable housing portfolio comprised of two elevator buildings with 315 units in East Harlem.
Additionally, Ariel arranged the sale of 12 development sites in Brooklyn and Queens over 12 months, with four more in contract. Together, the development sites total approximately 1 million buildable square feet and are valued at nearly $200 million.
These are some of the reasons we selected Ariel Property Advisors as one of Connect CRE’s New York & Tri-State Top Broker Award winners for 2026. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards and transaction volumes in investment sales and leasing.
