Colliers’ Kovacs Retail Team Closes 92 Deals, Totaling Over 1.2 Million Square Feet

Colliers’ Kovacs Retail Team consists of Jim Kovacs, Tyler Peterson, Melissa Riccardi, Kyle Mahoney, Sandra Baer and Tammy Verberg. Together, the group handled 92 transactions in 2025 across nearly 1.3 million square feet. The dollar volume totaled over $123.7 million.
The team was retained to identify and secure a North Lakeland location for Academy Sports + Outdoors, sourcing an off-market site that followed the tenant’s growth strategy. They negotiated directly with ownership and successfully structured the relocation of the existing tenant.
The team also brought Life Time to Wesley Chapel Station, a new retail center anchored by Whole Foods Market at Bruce B. Downs Boulevard and Aronwood Boulevard. In addition to representing Life Time in the transaction, the team partnered with the project’s developer to strategically identify and secure the site.
