Northstar’s Bayapu Builds Strong Life Sciences OPM Track Record
Ipsitha Bayapu is an Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) at Northstar Project & Real Estate Services. She manages complex, multi-phase renovations and infrastructure projects for global life sciences and pharmaceutical clients. Her role spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial feasibility and master scheduling to construction administration and operational handover.
One notable highlight was leading a complex 75,000-square-foot lab realignment for Takeda Pharmaceutical across multiple buildings in Cambridge. Bayapu also manages a diverse capital portfolio of 10 resiliency and facility infrastructure upgrade projects for a 240,000 square-foot Vertex Pharmaceuticals facility.
Bayapu contributes to Northstar’s internal culture of professional development. She chaired a committee that organized and executed monthly “Lunch and Learn” sessions featuring industry experts, creating a platform for knowledge sharing across the firm.
She is a graduate of the CoreNet Global New England—Young Leaders Professional Development Program and has been recognized as one of the Women in the CRE Spotlight by NEREJ.
Bayapu is active on her HOA’s social committee.
These are just a few reasons we chose Ipsitha Bayapu as one of Connect CRE’s Boston & New England Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
