As Partner with Stoel Rives LLP, Emily Kelly represents owners and developers in complex commercial real estate transactions. These include acquiring, disposing of, leasing, and financing multifamily mixed-use, retail, and office projects. Kelly keeps projects on track and helps clients protect real property investments and mitigate risk to achieve their business objectives.

Notable deals include representing a developer in the $117 million acquisition of a 285-unit, 239,000 square-foot multifamily project in Scottsdale, AZ; representing a real estate investor and developer in the $802 million sale of two lakefront blocks in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood to a German investor; and representing a borrower in a $300 million loan for the office component of an extensive mixed-use development.

Kelly serves on CREW Seattle’s board of directors and has been co-chair of Stoel Rives’ Real Estate Training Series. She is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Section of the Washington State Bar Association and recently co-chaired of its Midyear Meeting and Conference.

She has been included in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America (Real Estate Law), listed as one of Washington Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars, and is the recipient of Puget Sound Business Journal’s Next Generation in Law series.
