Aeroseal

One of the first women appointed to Aeroseal’s executive leadership team

Established partnerships with six utilities to provide energy efficiencies

As Vice President, Policy and Market Development, Maggie McCarey manages Aeroseal’s government affairs and policy initiatives, engaging with state, federal, and local governments to open new markets through increased energy efficiency incentives and policy drivers such as building energy codes and building performance standards.

McCarey strategically leverages policy and market analysis to drive the adoption of Aeroseal’s technologies, ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of this mission to decarbonize all buildings and make them more energy-efficient, sustainable, and healthy. McCarey was the first of two women appointed to Aeroseal’s executive leadership team.

Over the span of a year, McCarey established partnerships with six utilities that serve key U.S. markets, offering home and commercial property owners incentives and rebates for implementing Aeroseal as an energy efficiency measure.

McCarey often participates in speaking engagements and meetings, frequently advocating for women. She serves as the Executive Sponsor of Aeroseal’s DEI committee, where she has played a pivotal role in revitalizing the program.

Outside of Aeroseal, McCarey is an active member of New England Women in Energy and the Environment (NEWIEE), where she currently serves on the organization’s membership and programming committees. She also joined NEWIEE’s inaugural sustainability committee to establish a sustainability policy for the organization.

Her contributions have been recognized through numerous awards, including the William K. Reily Environmental Scholar, the Association of Energy Engineer Regional Project of the Year Award, and the Governor Baker and Governor Patrick Performance Recognition Awards.

These are just a few reasons why Maggie McCarey is among the Boston & New England Connect CRE 2024 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
