David Crotts is First Vice President Investments at Institutional Property Advisors (IPA) a division of Marcus & Millichap. He specializes in acquiring and disposing retail shopping centers in the Mid-Atlantic.

He joined the National Retail Group and IPA in 2016 and has completed over $6 billion in transactions in his career. In 2023, he and his team closed 52 deals totaling $267 million.

Crotts and the team have sold 19 newly constructed strip centers in the past three years. This is a growing niche in retail among institutional and private capital investors alike. They also sold Tred Avon Square, an Acme-anchored shopping center in Easton, MD, marking the 14th shopping center sold on the Delmarva peninsula.

These are some of the reasons we selected David Crotts as one of the Washington, DC winners in Connect CREs 2024 Top Broker Awards. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards and transaction volumes in investment sales and leasing.
