Maggie Burke
Sole Capital One representative on Freddie Mac Advisory Committee
Active in Capital One's CRE Mentor Program and CREW Tampa Bay
Maggie Burke is senior vice president with Capital One. In this role, Burke and her team financed more than $1 billion in debt and equity transactions over the past year, even with the recent industry volatility. Beyond arranging debt solutions, Burke and her team provide strategic insight to borrowers to help them organize the most efficient capital stack to meet their needs.
She is the sole representative for Capital One on the Freddie Mac Advisory Committee. In this role, she provides real-time feedback to the agency, creating a frictionless experience for Freddie Mac borrowers. Additionally, she supports the Mortgage Bankers Association mPact Advisory Committee with advocacy work, tracking federal and state policy proposals that could impact the broader industry. By having her finger on the pulse of issues that matter to borrowers, GSEs, financial institutions and the wider CRE community, Burke helps her clients identify opportunities and challenges.
Burke continues to look for ways to improve relationships and insights. For example, she collaborates with a cross-functional team of CRE professionals, technologists and data scientists to unlock how data can be generated and leveraged to inform deals.
Burke is active in Capital One’s CRE Mentor Program and CREW Tampa Bay. She raises college scholarship funds for women students studying CRE through her work with RENEW. She also works with Project Destined.
These are just a few reasons we chose Maggie Burke as one of the Florida-Gulf Coast Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
