With over two decades of experience in self-storage, Mele’s expertise and vast contributions to the industry have made him a key advisor. Based in Tampa, he leads an 18-member, multi-market team that has closed more than 700 self-storage transactions totaling more than $8 billion. In 2021 alone, the team closed 84 deals for 188 total properties in 35 states. One notable transaction was when Mike represented the seller in the sale of a national portfolio with a $635-million sale price and consisting of 58 properties and 27,250 units. Storage net rentable square feet totaled 3,389,789.
