When you think of Atlanta commercial real estate, you think of Monetha Cobb. A 20-year veteran of the industry and an Atlanta native, Cobb is a trailblazer who has forged a path for many other women to break into and exceed in the commercial real estate industry. She is a proven and demonstrated leader who has the support and respect of a very strong, diverse team, one she has assembled and nurtured over the past 11 years.

Cobb joined Franklin Street, a full-service commercial real estate firm, in 2010 as a founding member of its Atlanta office. Although she had already built a successful career at a well-established commercial real estate firm, she saw great potential in the opportunity to help grow Franklin Street’s business as it entered the complex and exciting Atlanta market. She took a chance and it paid off.

In addition to overseeing Franklin Street’s retail tenant representation business, Cobb has been instrumental in boosting the firm’s visibility in Atlanta and throughout the Southeast. She has built a talented multi-market team of over 30 professionals and serves as a mentor for many of the young agents on her team.

Notably, she is a founder of one of the largest retail real estate events in the Atlanta market, Retail Happy Hour Hosts. The annual happy hour and networking event is hosted every December and has become the highlight of the holiday season within the local retail community.

Cobb is also passionate about serving her community and supports several local charitable organizations, including the Atlanta Women’s Foundation (AWF), whose mission is to be a catalyst for change in the lives of young women and girls. She has hosted private fundraising dinners for AWF in conjunction with CREW Atlanta at her home for several years, raising a total of approximately $15,000 for the organization.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Monetha Cobb as one of the Atlanta & Southeast 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
