Sara Heskett is the executive partner of Holland & Knight’s Portland office. Heskett practices in the areas of business and tax law, with a particular focus on affordable housing projects eligible for federal and state low-income housing tax credits, federal and state historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy credits.
Heskett has represented clients in the structuring and closing of numerous direct and indirect equity investments. She has significant experience combining tax credit equity with the HOPE VI program and other mixed finance programs for public housing. Heskett is well-versed in transactions that include multiple layers of both conventional and subsidized financing including tax-exempt bonds.
