Lauren Maehler Handles Transactions Ranging from $10M to Over $100M
Lauren Maehler is the sole closing manager at Talonvest Capital. She oversees commercial real estate loan closings from intake through post-closing for self-storage and other property types nationwide. She coordinates borrowers, lenders, attorneys, title companies and internal teams to keep complex financings on schedule.
During her close to two-decade career, Maehler has managed periods with more than 10 active closings simultaneously, including transactions ranging from approximately $10 million to more than $100 million.
Recent transactions include a $105 million non-recourse bridge refinancing for a dual-branded Marriott hotel campus in Sunnyvale, CA; a $47.65 million permanent loan on a six-property, 600,000-plus-square-foot self-storage portfolio across five Texas markets; and $57.75 million in non-recourse financing for seven Florida self-storage properties totaling 4,598 units and nearly 487,000 square feet.
Maehler has developed closing checklists and training materials and created “Closing Corner,” an internal knowledge-sharing program focused on Talonvest’s execution process. She serves on the firm’s AI Initiative Team, evaluating technologies to improve internal processes and client service.
She is a CREDA Young Professionals Group graduate and is pursuing a paralegal certificate. She participates in CREW and community efforts supporting Ronald McDonald House Orange County.
These are just a few reasons Lauren Maehler is among the California Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
