Sarah Armstrong Executes More Than $3.5B in Commercial Real Estate Loans
Sarah Armstrong, vice president at Slatt Capital, has executed more than $3.5 billion in commercial real estate loans during her 15-year career. She arranges debt across property types and capital sources, advising owners on acquisitions, refinancings and other financing strategies.
Armstrong’s recent transactions include a $20-million permanent office financing with a life insurance company in Northern California, a $12-million nonrecourse acquisition loan for a 68,000-square-foot office building in Rohnert Park, and a $9.75-million refinance of an 80,000-square-foot retail center in Pleasanton.
She joined Slatt in 2011 as an analyst and was promoted to senior analyst before spending three years at JLL, where she became a vice president on the Capital Markets team. She returned to Slatt in 2018 as a vice president.
Her industry leadership includes a five-year term on the Bay Area Mortgage Association board and serving as BAMA president from 2023 to 2024. She was selected for JLL’s Young Leadership program and later served on Slatt’s Young Leadership Committee.
Armstrong is active with ULI Los Angeles and was selected for its NEXT Cohort. She also participates in NAIOP/CREDA and mentors emerging professionals. Slatt has recognized her for her internal leadership and collaboration efforts.
These are just a few reasons Sarah Armstrong is among the California Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
