Lauren Achtemeier Wins Approval for 340,000-SF Harbor Gateway Redevelopment
Lauren Achtemeier is Prologis’ vice president and investment officer. She leads capital deployment across Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego, while overseeing acquisitions, developments, redevelopments and dispositions in one of the nation’s most complex industrial markets.
She has also been involved in market strategy, investment evaluation and deal execution, while coordinating with the development, entitlements, leasing, construction and operations teams.
Achtemeier has led major Southern California initiatives, including the approximately 340,000-square-foot Harbor Gateway redevelopment in Los Angeles. The project spent more than eight years navigating environmental review, community concerns, entitlements and political approvals before receiving unanimous approval from the Los Angeles City Council. Achtemeier helped build consensus among the stakeholders, balancing neighborhood concerns with the project’s investment and economic objectives.
She was also involved with Prologis’ approximately 516,000-square-foot FedEx build-to-suit development in Downey, one of the largest recent industrial build-to-suit transactions in Los Angeles County.
Achtemeier mentors junior team members, gives them meaningful responsibility on transactions and helps them develop the judgment needed to become future deal leaders. She serves on the Junior Board of City of Hope and represents Prologis in industry and community forums.
Achtemeier has been recognized by Bisnow as a Southern California CRE Power Woman.
These are just a few reasons Lauren Achtemeier is among the California Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
