Isabel Acuna Builds a New Vision for the 600,000-Square-Foot 585 Kendall
Isabel Acuna, senior director of development at BioMed Realty, leads development projects requiring coordination among technical teams, specialized tenants, public agencies and community stakeholders.
Her primary project is the 16-story, 600,000 square-foot 585 Kendall in Cambridge, MA, which will serve as Takeda’s North American headquarters. The development also includes the 45,000-square-foot Platform, a performing arts center being developed with Global Arts Live and scheduled to open in November 2026.
Acuna joined BioMed Realty in 2022 as director of development and was promoted to senior director.
She is active with CREW Boston, CREDA, Built Environment Plus and MIT alumni networks, and mentors young women entering the industry.
Acuna has been named an Outstanding Woman of Commercial Real Estate by Boston Real Estate Times and was recognized as a contributor to 585 Kendall’s CREW Boston Networking Award.
These are just a few reasons Isabel Acuna is among the Boston & New England Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
