Cushman&Wakefield’s Perez Oversees Boston-Area Life Sciences Leasing Activity
Mitchell Perez serves as a Senior Director within the Life Sciences practice group in Cushman & Wakefield’s Boston office. In this role, he helps advise life science companies of all stages with their real estate strategies.
Since joining Cushman & Wakefield just over a year ago, Perez has jumped in to help support and mentor some of the younger team members at the firm, whether they are on the Life Sciences team or work elsewhere within the company. He is passionate about helping others to learn the real estate business and grow in their confidence when it comes to new development, two areas that he continues to grow in as well.
Perez is highly confident and motivated when it comes to growing as a professional, always looking to enhance his business and relationships within the life sciences ecosystem. He is keenly focused on business development, working to identify companies that are looking for a strategic real estate partner, going beyond the work of a typical real estate broker. He utilizes his relationships within the life sciences industry and local ecosystem, as well as his growing knowledge of the biotech world, to truly understand the work his clients are doing, with the goal of aligning their business strategy with their real estate needs.
Examples of this range from short-term, creative deals to allow clients to achieve their next financial or clinical inflection point, to establishing new long-term headquarters for more established companies entering the next phase of their growth. Recently, Perez was involved in Stoke Therapeutics’ 98,500-square-foot lease at 245 Fifth Ave. in Waltham, MA – one of the largest deals signed in the Boston suburbs in over a year. Perez and the C&W team worked closely with Stoke to identify a new headquarters space during a pivotal time of growth, and ahead of their lease expiration in Bedford at the end of 2026. The team was able to secure the top two floors in a new life science development from Anchor Line Partners in Waltham, which has emerged as one of the most compelling suburban life sciences hubs in the country.
These are just a few reasons we chose Mitchell Perez as one of Connect CRE’s Boston & New England Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
