Troutman Pepper Locke’s Hughes Brings Precision to Real Estate Capital Structures
Ellie Hughes is an experienced real estate attorney at Troutman Pepper Locke, who represents clients in a broad range of real estate investments, with a particular focus on lender-side real estate finance transactions.
She represents regional, national, and international banks, debt funds, and nontraditional lenders in the origination, syndication, and modification of term, bridge, and construction mortgage and mezzanine loans, as well as workouts of distressed investments.
Hughes led the team representing a financial institution as the lender for the construction of a 240-plus unit multifamily development in Colorado. She also led the team representing the lender on the construction financing for a 290-plus-unit mixed-use development in Massachusetts, with a unique condominium and multi-parcel development structure.
She focuses on mentoring junior and mid-level associates, working on developing associate training and programming to educate younger attorneys. At each law firm along her career path, she has been quick to develop strong relationships with senior partners who have taken her under their wings.
Hughes has been named a Super Lawyers Rising Star (Massachusetts).
These are just a few reasons we chose Ellie Hughes as one of Connect CRE’s Boston & New England Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
