Carla Cox Leads Marketing for Toro’s $560M Medley
Carla Cox, vice president of marketing at Toro Development Company, leads marketing, branding, communications, events and community engagement for the firm’s mixed-use developments.
She is currently involved with marketing and programming for Medley, Toro’s $560-million, 43-acre mixed-use community in Johns Creek, GA. The former State Farm office campus includes retail, restaurant, and office space; multifamily units and townhomes; and a planned 150-key hotel.
Previously, Cox led marketing efforts for the redevelopment of Colony Square and Atlantic Station and the launch and expansion of Avalon, a $1-billion mixed-use community.
Cox serves on the advisory board of City of Refuge and co-chairs planning for its annual fundraiser, which has raised more than $5 million since 2015. At Toro, she mentors emerging team members and has helped develop the company’s hospitality-focused culture.
Her work has generated multiple 20 ICSC MAXI Awards.
These are just a few reasons Carla Cox is among the Atlanta & Southeast Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
