Newmark’s Mao Represents Tech Tenants in Seattle Office Leasing Market
As a Newmark Associate, Edward Mao helps office tenants lease space, with a particular focus on the technology sector. He recently helped digital sports platform Fanatics with its first Washington state lease, totaling 10,000 square feet. He assisted Alliance Technical Group with its 10,000-square-foot lease in Fremont, WA and helped the Emerald Learning Center land its first Bellevue, WA location, totaling 30,000 square feet.
Internally, Mao has worked with Newmark’s AI team, providing feedback on product implementations and real-world applications, making good use of his tech background from Zillow.
Mao attributes his success to cold calling; he consistently makes over 300 calls a week.
Outside the firm, Mao coaches CrossFit, works with a local running company, and coaches a trail-running team.
These are just a few reasons we chose Edward Mao as one of Connect CRE’s Seattle & Northwest Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
