Brown Heads Marcus&Millichap Top-Producing Retail Brokerage Team in Pacific Northwest
Clayton Brown is the founder and Managing Partner of Marcus & Millichap’s Brown Retail Group. The team specializes in the sale and financing of single-tenant net-leased properties, shopping centers and redevelopment sites throughout the Pacific Northwest and across the country. Brown oversees all major business decisions, leads strategic growth initiatives, mentors team members and organizes the day-to-day operations of a 13-person team.
During his nearly 10-year career with Marcus & Millichap, Brown has completed 187 investment sales transactions totaling more than $700 million in sales volume. Representative transactions include the $32.6-million sale of the five-property Great Floors Portfolio and the $25.3-million sale of Bear Creek Plaza in Medford, OR.
Brown is also a real estate developer, overseeing more than $40 million in development and redevelopment projects throughout Washington state. He is currently handling the $8-million redevelopment of a $180,000-square-foot Washington State retail center.
He is an active mentor and industry leader within Marcus & Millichap, regularly speaking on industry panels, contributing to internal training webinars and providing quotes to commercial real estate publications. Brown currently mentors six agents in the group.
Brown and his team support families in need and hunger relief in the Seattle metropolitan area. Through a partnership with a local food bank, the team has pledged a portion of every earned commission to help provide 500,000 meals by December 31, 2028.
These are just a few reasons we chose Clayton Brown as one of Connect CRE’s Seattle & Northwest Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
