Highlights include brokering the $98-million Highgate La Quinta Portfolio

Michael Yu is a Vice Chairman who leads the CBRE Hotels South Central United States team. The group transacts nationally across the private and institutional client space on all hospitality investment products. He has sold over 200 hotels in the last three years, including limited service, full service and extended stay assets, individually and in portfolios, to clients and institutions.

In 2023, Yu and his team closed 38 transactions totaling $400 million.

The most notable transactions included the Highgate La Quinta Portfolio (six hotels) for $98 million and the Riller KKR Portfolio (consisting of a Courtyard by Marriott and two Residence Inns). The three properties came from a more extensive portfolio disposition and were sold to a single buyer for $31 million.
