Deals were located throughout the Midwest, some in low-activity tertiary markets
During 2023, Northmarq’s Midwest team of Parker Stewart, Dominic Martinez and Alex Malzone closed 14 deals totaling $395 million. These deals were located throughout Missouri, Illinois and Iowa. Several were in tertiary markets that do not typically see much activity.
One notable transaction was the sale of the 400-unit Winghaven in St. Louis following a long-term hold by an Illinois investor. Other deals included the 374-unit Meadows at River Run (Bolingbrook, IL), which included assistance from Northmarq’s Debt + Equity team. Also completed was the sale of the 192-unit Cambridge Court (West Des Moines, IA). In the latter deal, the buyer assumed the existing Freddie Mac loan as part of the transaction.
