Ryan Lang is Vice Chairman and Head of Newmark Student Housing, which ranked as the number one student housing team nationally for transaction volume in 2022 according to Real Capital Analytics. During 2022, Lang and his team completed 34 sales transactions with a sales consideration of more than $3.2 billion.
Notably, the team completed the sale of several of the top five single-asset deals of the year, as well as many sizeable portfolios on behalf of several of the largest global institutions. The team also spearheaded more than $1 billion in equity and debt placement.
One highlight involved the sale of the 1,840-bed Northpoint Crossing, which serves Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. The deal was Newmark’s second time selling the asset and represented one of the largest single-asset sales in terms of transaction value in the student housing space.
The team also handled the sale of Current Midtown, a 620-bed property that serves the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. The asset sold for more than $100 million.
