Elevated to chair of Loeb’s commercial real estate leasing group in 2019

During pandemic, has helped landlord and tenant clients complete new leases and restructure existing leases

Member of the Women Partners group at Loeb & Loeb

Nichole D. Cortese, a partner in Loeb & Loeb’s real estate group, represents owners and tenants on all aspects of commercial real estate leases, subleases, licenses and occupancy agreements, as well as brokerage and agency agreements, ground leases, sales and acquisitions. In recognition of her collaborative management style and strong commitment to the group’s long-term success in the industry, Cortese was elevated to chair of Loeb’s commercial real estate leasing group in February 2019.

This past year, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Cortese has helped her landlord and tenant clients complete new leases and restructure existing leases to preserve viability and competitiveness as the industry has faced (and continues to cope with) the unprecedented challenges posed by the pandemic. Much of her client work during this time and into the present has allowed both landlords and tenants to successfully navigate one of the most complex eras that the commercial real estate industry has ever witnessed. Clients say Cortese’s ability to swiftly formulate solutions to their legal issues in a decisive and comprehensive fashion is very strong.

In addition to her legal work, Cortese is a member of the New York State and New York City Bar Associations. She also is a member of the Women Partners group at Loeb & Loeb, which sponsors charitable fundraisers and fosters mentoring, skill-building and client development opportunities for younger attorneys within the firm. This year, she also participated in the Urban Land Institute Mentorship Program.

These are just a few of the reasons we chose Cortese as one of the New York & Tri-State 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
