Libby Gilbert currently oversees operations for Newmark’s national retail platform. She transitioned into that role after 14 years of overseeing office brokerage services. Her ability to adapt and change within the growing organization has made her a key member of value for more than 15 years.
As the senior director of retail operations, Gilbert’s work includes increasing broker productivity, collaborating with sales professionals to develop business plans, tracking revenue production, and advising brokers to improve their performance. She also oversees the recruitment of junior-level brokers and manages their onboarding and performance reviews. Her hands-on approach to mentorship and developing talent ensures that junior- and mid-level sales professionals can grow and perform at their highest level. She works to maintain the sales staff by recruiting, selecting, onboarding and training new professionals. Gilbert has become the go-to person in the retail division to counsel, coach and motivate the teams.
In addition to her day-to-day work, Gilbert oversees national conferences and events, including the firm’s annual Rising Stars conference, which recognizes and rewards Newmark’s up-and-coming talent and future leaders nationwide. She also manages the Newmark summer internship program and is a key advocate for the employee day of service program.
