As Executive Managing Director with Newmark’s Debt & Structured Finance Group in Tampa, Matt Williams brings almost 20 years of experience and over $17 billion in financing transactions to the Multifamily Capital Markets space.
Based in Tampa, Williams oversees the debt origination platform for Florida and is responsible for debt and equity placements predominantly in the Southeast region.
In 2020, Williams originated more than $650 million in financings. While the pandemic made sourcing and closing transactions much more difficult for a number of reasons including most working from home, concerns over collections, eviction moratoriums, challenges surrounding site inspections and due diligence and more, Matt and his team were still able to complete site inspections and due diligence, ensuring successful outcomes for his clients as a result.
