2021 Top Mortgage Brokers and Lenders
Padien was involved in $1.5 billion in 2020 (but with an additional $1 billion from 2020 originations closing in first quarter 2021, for a total of $2.5 billion since the start of 2020).
He transacted a total of 17 deals in 2020 (with an additional 12 deals from 2020 originations closing in first quarter 2021 for a total of 29 deals) since the start of 2020.
Keith Padien is an executive managing director for Cushman & Wakefield, specializing in institutional debt placement in the San Francisco Bay Area and Pacific Northwest, while also remaining very active in other major markets nationally. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield in 2019, Padien spent six years at Eastdil Secured as an institutional debt broker and eight years as a lender at Cantor Fitzgerald and Credit Suisse. Padien has been directly responsible for financing transactions totaling more than $17.5 billion.
One of the several notable transactions that Padien led in 2020 was the $150 million construction financing of Mathilda Commons in Sunnyvale, consisting of two LEED Platinum certified office buildings totaling 380,039 square feet, an adjacent parking structure and an amenities facility. Financed by a top-tier domestic money center bank for one of the region’s premier developers, this was one of the first spec-office construction financings to close since the onset of COVID-19. Despite the difficulties that resulted from the pandemic, Padien was able to creatively curate a competitive market for the deal and deliver economic and non-economic terms for the client. The transaction was critical in supporting the continued positive outlook and demand of the local Silicon Valley market.
These are some of the reasons we selected Padien for inclusion in our first-ever Top Mortgage Brokers and Lenders Awards. These awards recognize industry professionals who have demonstrated the highest standards in commercial real estate finance.
