Creates master lease forms that save clients thousands in legal fees
Greenberg Glusker partner Ken Fields represents owners, operators, syndicators, investors, developers, brokers and others in all categories of real estate, with particular expertise in industrial assets. During 2021 to date, Fields has handled approximately $1.5 billion in industrial purchase and sale transactions, and approximately $2 billion in other transactional matters. For example, Fields recently represented Rexford Industrial Realty in a $220 million acquisition which has been reported as the largest industrial deal closed in the third quarter.

For example, some of Fields’ larger and more sophisticated clients have internal teams that can handle more streamlined lease negotiations in-house. For those clients, Fields creates one or more master lease forms and sample lease provisions so those clients can generate and negotiate simple leases in-house.
Fields still handles more complex negotiations for those clients, but this process saves some of his clients tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees each year. By focusing on his clients’ needs, rather than his own profits, Fields has engendered strong client devotion and longevity, which has in turn resulted in a successful legal and business practice.

His tenure in B2B publishing stretches back into the print era, and he has served as Editor in Chief on four national trade publications.
Since 1999, Paul has volunteered as the newsletter editor of passenger rail advocacy groups (one national, one local).
