Jennifer Sung
Regarded as an inspiring leader as a partner in Goodwin’s real estate Industry group
Has helped her clients thrive amid the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic
Heavily involved in Goodwin’s Proptech and Propsci Initiatives
Jennifer Sung is regarded as an inspiring leader as a partner in Goodwin’s Real Estate Industry group. She is experienced in structuring, negotiating and closing complex commercial real estate and corporate transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions and dispositions, development, equity financings, mortgage and mezzanine financings, workouts, and leasing of industrial, multifamily, office, retail and hotel assets. Her clients are comprised of institutional investors, developers, managers, owners, public and private REITs and investment funds.
Based in Los Angeles, Sung has helped her clients thrive in the face of the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic. New clients this year include Public Storage and one of the largest commercial real estate companies in Europe. She has also greatly expanded Goodwin’s relationship with existing client IQHQ, and recently acted as counsel to a real estate fund client in connection with the recapitalization of a $1.4-billion industrial portfolio across the U.S.
These are some of the reasons that we named Sung to our California grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
A firmwide leader, Sung is heavily involved in Goodwin’s Proptech and Propsci Initiatives. These groups are focused on supporting the intersection of real estate and technology and the intersection of real estate and life sciences. In this capacity, she stays up to date on relevant market trends impacting both the proptech and propsci sectors and effectively supports clients involved in these spaces. She is also a partner mentor to seven real estate associates and is active in the firm’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and Women’s Initiative efforts.
