Catherine Mitchell
Partner at Fox Rothschild
Assists lenders in CRE financing and landlords in leasing
Trustee, North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics
Catherine Mitchell is a skilled real estate attorney with the expertise to help developers, landlords, tenants and lenders not only survive the pandemic, but thrive. A partner at Fox Rothschild LLP, a national law firm with more than 950 lawyers cross the country, Mitchell has participated in a variety of commercial real estate transactions over the past decade that are valued at more than $2 billion.
Based in the firm’s Charlotte office, she counsels clients in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of commercial properties and assists lenders in real estate financing. Her skills span the development process, including acquisition, reciprocal easements, construction and an array of financing such as SBA loans, bond financing, USDA-backed loans and complex CMBS. She represents landlords in the leasing of retail and office space to national and regional tenants as well as health care companies, national and regional banking institutions and life insurance companies.
Beyond her work with clients, Mitchell is a dedicated public servant who works tirelessly to improve her community. The mother of two boys, ages 6 and 3, she was appointed by the North Carolina Senate President Pro Tempore in 2020 to the Board of Trustees for the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics, which encourages academically talented students to become state, national and global leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. She also helps raise money for the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Buncombe County and is active in the Charlotte chapter of CREW Network.
These are some of the reasons that we named Mitchell to our Atlanta & Southeast grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
