Broderick Group’s Tanigawa Takes Analytical Approach to the Market
A vice president with Broderick Group, Colin Tanigawa specializes in office leasing, representing both landlords and tenants, primarily within the Greater Eastside. Tanigawa distinguishes himself within Broderick Group through his analytical approach to the market. He is an active example of the firm’s ethos of market knowledge and teamwork, by contributing consistently to Broderick’s efforts of leveraging the firm’s market data and collaboration to best serve his clients.
Over the past 12 months, Tanigawa has been involved in more than 350,000 square feet of leasing transactions throughout the Puget Sound region. Most notably, in partnership with Jason Furr, he represented Patrinely and Dune Real Estate Partners in signing their debut lease at Four106 with Uber for 170,000 square feet in Downtown Bellevue.
Tanigawa entered commercial real estate in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He used the slowdown in leasing activity to build his market knowledge and cultivate industry relationships that continue to serve him and his clients today.
Colleagues say Tanigawa stands out among his peers through an approach to brokerage that prioritizes long-term relationships over short-term transactions. He is known for delivering honest, unvarnished advice — taking the time to educate his clients on market conditions and guiding them toward decisions that are genuinely in their best interest, even when that requires patience or difficult conversations. It is a standard of integrity that belies his years in the industry.
These are just a few reasons we chose Colin Tanigawa as one of Connect CRE’s Seattle & Northwest Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
