Lanzaro with Berkadia Executes Large-Scale Seniors Housing and Skilled Nursing Financing

Company:

Berkadia

Berkadia Director Andrew Lanzaro provides financing solutions to owners and operators of seniors housing and skilled nursing communities nationwide. He brings more than a decade of experience structuring and closing loans through HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Berkadia’s Balance Sheet.

Over the course of his career, Lanzaro has helped close over 300 loans totaling $5.9 billion. Since teaming up with his partner, Jay Healy, at the start of 2025, the pair has originated nearly 45 loans totaling approximately $731 million in volume. So far in 2026, the duo has closed 10 loans totaling $213 million, encompassing 16 properties in nine states.

This production includes six bridge loans totaling $117 million from Berkadia’s proprietary balance sheet and four HUD loans totaling $96 million. Lanzaro currently manages an active pipeline of 50 loans across 12 clients and is pursuing and evaluating new opportunities.

During his 11-year tenure at Berkadia, Lanzaro has advanced through a series of roles, from analyst to senior analyst and associate director, before being promoted to his current position.

In addition to his daily responsibilities, Lanzaro is active in his group through his involvement on a marketing strategy committee and mentoring junior colleagues.

These are just a few reasons we chose Andrew Lanzaro as one of Connect CRE’s National Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
