Berkadia’s Morales Drives $3.7 Billion in South Florida Multifamily and Land Sales
Omar Morales is a Senior Director on Berkadia’s Investment Sales team, advising institutional owners, developers, private investors, and family offices on multifamily and land transactions across South Florida. He handles sourcing and executing deals, underwriting and positioning assets, and leading marketing and negotiation strategies for complex, high-value assignments.
Morales has been involved with more than $3.7 billion in multifamily and land transactions over the course of his career. Notable deals include the $45 million sale of the Chateau Grove site in Coconut Grove, the $34 million sale of Nova Central Apartments in Broward County, and the $72 million sale of the 294-unit high-rise Motion at Dadeland.
He has helped recruit and onboard junior talent to the investment sales team and serves as an informal ambassador for the Berkadia brand through his multi-media platform. This includes hosting Miami Dealmakers, a podcast that features conversations with developers, investors and public officials.
Morales is actively involved with the Urban Land Institute Southeast Florida, where he previously served as Young Leaders Chairman and completed the Leadership Institute program. He is a member of Florida International University’s Real Estate Council and a frequent speaker at FIU and the University of Miami.
He has been named a CoStar Power Broker, was recognized as one of the South Florida Business Journal’s Power Brokers in Commercial Real Estate and included on Commercial Observer’s “Power South Florida” list.
These are just a few reasons we chose Omar Morales as one of Connect CRE’s Florida & Gulf Coast Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will have a strong influence on the commercial real estate industry.
