Launched Berkadia’s Jacksonville office in 2016

Notable deals include the $36-million sale of Westwood Apartments

Greg Rainey is a multifamily investment sales broker who helped establish Berkadia’s Jacksonville office in 2016. He is part of Berkadia Central & North Florida investment sales, which sold more than 15,000 units at a $3 billion deal consideration since 2021. One notable transaction for Rainey was the $36-million sale of Westwood Apartments in Jacksonville.

Rainey joined Berkadia in 2014 as an analyst in the Orlando office. He was asked to open Berkadia’s Jacksonville office two years into his career. Under his leadership, the office posted an impressive 28.5% year-over-year growth in sales volume between 2016 and 2022 (omitting 2020 due to COVID).

The spouse of a dedicated teacher, Rainey is interested in the well-being of students in underserved communities. He and his wife aid students and families in need. Rainey has also mentored students in an official and unofficial capacity for Florida State University’s Real Estate Society. CoStar honored him with its Power Broker Award.

These are just a few reasons we selected Greg Rainey as one of Connect CRE’s Florida & Gulf Coast 2024 Next Generation Award winners. Connect CRE’s seventh annual Next Generation Awards recognize young leaders who will strongly influence the commercial real estate industry.
