Jennifer Jones
Been involved with more than $3.5 billion of P3 transactions
Helped developed the American Campus Equity (ACE) transactions structure
Jennifer Jones joined American Campus Communities in 2002 from a position as JP Morgan Chase financial analyst. During her ACC career, Jones rose to the top from financial analyst to director to vice president to senior vice president of transactions. Heading into her 21st year work anniversary at ACC, she has been involved in the negotiation and closing of more than $3.5 billion of P3 transactions
ACC’s partnership with the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is one of her longest-standing university transactions. While creating the school’s long-range development plan for on-campus housing in early 2000, UCI established the goal of creating a thriving campus community where housing was a critical component of the college experience.
She also helped develop the American Campus Equity (ACE) transaction structure, in which ACC serves as developer, manager and owner of a 75-year ground lease. ACC’s ACE portfolio includes over 26,003 beds at 31 properties, approximately 27% of the total beds owned.
Jones also regularly shares her knowledge with newcomers to the industry, as many have done for her throughout her career.
These are just a few reasons we chose Jennifer Jones as one of the National Connect CRE’s 2023 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and play key mentorship roles for others.
