Launched Meridian Capital's retail leasing division in 2018

James Famularo started the retail leasing division at New York-based Meridian Capital Group in 2018 and is now President of Meridian’s robust retail leasing team. During 2022, he closed more than 200 transactions totaling 550,000 square feet, at a dollar consideration of $329.4 million.

Notable transactions closed by Famularo in 2022 include 771 Ninth Ave., tenanting Urban Pathways, a government-funded outreach program for the city’s homeless community. He also brokered 311 W. 43rd St., tenanting popular restaurant Fushimi Group in a 25,000 square-foot establishment in Times Square. The closing of 771 Ninth Ave. was a transaction Famularo views as one of the biggest accomplishments of his career due to its long-term city-wide impact.
