Maxi Leachman with CBRE Has Helped Close More Than $20B in Financing
Maximiliane (Maxi) Leachman, vice chair of CBRE’s Debt & Structured Finance team, leads an 11-member group that handles debt and equity for multifamily and other real estate projects nationwide. Since 2019, her team has closed more than $20 billion in financing, setting a production record for CBRE’s Mid-Atlantic region.
Over the past three years, Leachman and her team closed $7.2 billion in debt and equity, representing more than $11 billion in transaction volume, with an additional $2 billion closed year-to-date in 2025.
At CBRE, she helped launch a model to link investment sales and debt teams to develop integrated financing strategies. She also played a key role in establishing the firm’s first producer parental leave benefit.
Her industry leadership includes nearly six years on Freddie Mac’s Optigo Advisory Council. She is active with the National Multifamily Housing Council, Mortgage Bankers Association and Urban Land Institute.
Leachman serves on Georgetown University’s Steers Center for Global Real Estate Advisory Board, guest lectures and mentors students. She also serves on Children’s National Hospital’s Corporate Advisory Council and is a founding member of Champions for Children.
She received the Commercial Real Estate Brokerage Association’s Finance Transaction of the Year award and consistently ranks among its Top 5 Regional Finance Agents. GlobeSt. named her a Rainmaker in CRE Debt, Equity & Finance.
These are just a few reasons Maxi Leachman is among the Washington DC & Mid-Atlantic Connect CRE 2026 Women in Real Estate Award winners. The award honors the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected leadership positions and taken on mentorship roles.
