Allison DiGiovanni
Uses her operations background to implement creative marketing and leasing strategies
Champion of encouraging people to collaborate and embrace change
More than 15 years of commercial real estate management experience
From starting in commercial real estate as a property administrator, Allison DiGiovanni has been making her mark, quickly growing as an assistant property manager, property manager, general manager, director of property management and now, the senior managing director at MRP Realty. DiGiovanni has never forgotten the path she travelled, and how important the people in those various roles are within the organization. She especially has never lost sight of the importance of lifting up other women.
In a world and industry not yet on even footing between men and women, DiGiovanni has made it a point to bring the opportunities for growth, advancement, and knowledge to the women of her field at MRP. Her current team at MRP is 50% female and growing and continues to use her role as senior managing director to create a workplace of inclusivity and equal opportunity.
Colleagues say DiGiovanni has the unique ability to use her background on the operational side of commercial real estate to implement creative marketing and leasing strategies that add value to office buildings. She fluently speaks the varying languages of operations, marketing, leasing and capital markets and is able to tie them all together into a coherent singular mission to drive value.
DiGiovanni was an early believer in sustainability and environmental initiatives in commercial real estate and she has empowered and encouraged her teams to make decisions that support these important goals. She’s regarded as a champion of encouraging people to collaborate and embrace change as a catalyst for growth, as evidenced by the launching of the Heyday hospitality-based service platform within MRP. She has always willingly jumped in to help out the team and to be a problem solver; whether it be from her first promotion to an assistant property manager (complete with a Blackberry) to rescuing an MRP co-owned, co-working platform.
These are just a few of the reasons we chose DiGiovanni as one of the Washington, DC 2021 Women in Real Estate Award winners. Connect CRE’s Women in Real Estate Awards honor the achievements and inspirational stories of women who have reached respected positions of leadership and play key mentorship roles for others.
