Co-leader of the BakerHostetler National Real Estate Team
Co-chair of the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando Cardozo Legal Society
Robert Gebaide is a partner in BakerHostetler’s Orlando office and co-leader of the firm’s national real estate team. He routinely represents public and private clients throughout the US in a broad array of real estate transactions.
Gebaide has handled numerous transactions involving the acquisition, permitting, development and sale of commercial property. In connection with his work with the hospitality team, Gebaide regularly represents clients in connection with the acquisition, development, management, finance and sale of hotels, condominium hotels, marinas, mixed-use developments and vacation ownership projects and clubs.
Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Gebaide was an attorney with the Seminole County Attorney’s Office, where he was primarily responsible for advising the Board of County Commissioners, the Planning and Zoning Commission and county staff on all aspects of land use planning, development, code enforcement, building regulation and development review. Building on this experience, Gebaide maintains an active land use practice, regularly representing clients in connection with zoning, comprehensive plan and other permitting activities.

Acted as outside general counsel to a retail development, management, and hospitality company during a transaction cited as one of the largest real estate transactions of 2013 and has continued to work with the company on every aspect of its real estate and development needs, including representation during a debt and securities offering and counseling for matters related to hotel operations during property acquisition.
These are some of the reasons that we named Gebaide to our Florida & Gulf Coast grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group.
When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
