Jonathan Lee and Shahin Yazdi

Jonathan Lee and Shahin Yazdi are former owners and managing directors of George Smith Partners. They spent about 15 years with GSP and moved over to Colliers in September 2023. They have been partners for seven years and structure financing for all asset types, nationwide. 

Their most notable transaction in 2023 was a $85.8-million construction loan for the development of a 372-unit multifamily property located in an Opportunity Zone in Sacramento, CA. Colliers is now working on the construction loan for the same sponsor for a hotel development directly adjacent to the multifamily property.

Another notable transaction of theirs from 2023 was a $27.8-million refinance for a 91-unit multifamily property in Los Angeles. Lee and Yazdi also arranged $29 million for the refinance fo multifamily property in Bozeman, MT. 

Lee and Yazdi finance properties nationwide, but specifically do a lot in the Los Angeles area, including many multifamily developments throughout LA that help combat the housing crisis the community faces. They structure the entire capital stack, including debt and equity.
