Bosa Buys $33M Mixed-Use Site Downtown SD From Zephyr
Zephyr Partners, a locally-based commercial real estate firm, recently sold The Block, a planned mix-use site in downtown San Diego, for $33 million to Vancouver, B.C.-based Bosa Development.
The Block, according to Zephyr, will be a $250-million mixed-use project, encompassing a 41-story tower and a 21-story residential development. The space occupies a square block in San Diego’s downtown, along the eastern Broadway area, and is one of the last remaining full blocks in the district.
With a total of 750,000 square feet, The Block will have retail and 498 residential units, as well as hospitality amenities. Zephyr’s co-CEO Brad Termini attributes the decision to sell due to a long-standing relationship with Bosa and the company’s invested interests in downtown San Diego.
