WeWork Goes to Elementary School, Launching WeGrow
According to Bloomberg, WeWork has opened a private elementary school called WeGrow near its headquarters in New York.
The pilot program currently has seven 5-to-8-year-olds, and is focused on “conscious entrepreneurship.” WeWork’s founders, Adam and Rebekah Neumann, have their child enrolled in the program part-time, while partially learning hands-on during the other days at the couples’ 60-acre farm.
If all goes well, the plan is to build WeGrow schools globally starting next fall. WeWork has hired Bjarke Ingels, the eminent Danish firm, to design the digs.
Along with education, the company has dipped its toes in the fitness world with its gym, Rise by We, and into the co-living space with WeLive.
