Wayfair to Open Its First Large-Format Store in Illinois

After announcing a new store concept in 2022, online home furnishings and decor retailer Wayfair has set an opening date for its first-ever large-format store at Edens Plaza in Wilmette, Illinois.

The company will debut its inaugural large-format Wayfair store, located at 3232 Lake Avenue and spanning 150,000 square feet, on May 23. “The store is a one-stop shop for all things home – including furniture, home decor, housewares and home improvement products, for any style space or budget,” said Wayfair in a news release.

The Edens Plaza location will be the first to feature the new retail concept for Wayfair and replace a former Carson’s space, that had been vacant for several years. It will also feature an onsite restaurant, The Porch.

Wayfair offers a variety of brands and styles with a large selection of home goods as well as furnishings and decor. The company generated $12 billion in net revenue in 2023 and is headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts.
